Arts Alive

Dancer and sports star Lynn Swann hosts these programs, which feature both young artists and seasoned professionals—creating, discussing, performing. Other young people in the series respond naturally to the excitement and appeal of the arts.

Eight programs deal with the elements and processes of visual arts, dance, music, and drama. For each of these, one program examines the distinctive elements of which it is made, and one program shows how these elements are combined during the creative process. Five programs focus on the role of the arts in life and the value of the arts to the individual and society.
