Drawing with Paul Ringler

"It takes more skill to sign your name than to draw," says artist-teacher Paul Ringler. "You draw with your head, not your hand." Where most people fall down, he says, is in not knowing procedures—or in knowing too little about the subject they are drawing.

This studio art series gives students from fifth grade through high school time-tested procedures they can apply to any kind of drawing. The teacher's guide reviews the instructional content in print and drawings and the "try it" suggestion with which each program ends. It also lists additional resources for students and teachers.
