Who is a creative writer? Everyone who ever scribbled a note, that's who. In Writer's Realm students in grades four through six will meet writers of many kinds—favorite authors and people their own age. Dramatic segments, animation, interviews, notes, drafts, revisions, and finished products illustrate how real people go about writing. No two people do it in exactly the same way, but everybody learns to write by writing, and that's the point. These programs suggest alternatives rather than lay down rules. They illustrate how writing for different purposes needs to be different. They stimulate young writers to keep looking for ways to improve what they have written and, above all, to enjoy the process.
