Four children encounter problems in their communities which they learn to solve—thanks to their invisible friend Econ—by applying economic principles. Students learn that spending money often requires careful decisions, and that obtaining money is more complicated than sticking a card in a bank machine. With Econ and Me, even teachers who have never studied economics can introduce basic economic concepts. Two teacher programs demonstrate strategies and effective techniques for using the student programs. The comprehensive teacher's guide includes activities and student handouts to reinforce basic skills.
