First People: Mishanagqus and the Wampanoag

Mishanagqus is a Wampanoag. She is also a teenager attending Milton Academy, a prestigious boarding school in New England. Mishanagqus straddles this cultural rift with grace, but not without struggle. In this engaging short documentary, viewers are challenged to see life through the eyes of a young Wampanoag woman and to embrace both the cultural uniqueness of her life as a Native American and the more familiar experience of a teenager in America.
