William Glasser, M.D.

William Glasser, M.D., is a board-certified psychiatrist and founder and president of the Institute for Reality Therapy. Author of the classic Schools without Failure, he has worked for over 30 years to improve schools. Glasser argues against traditional coercive management practices in schools. He advocates teaching students in ways that satisfy their needs and convincing them of the importance and significance of what they are learning, making discipline problems disappear and achievement rise.
