I cannot teach anybody anything, I can only make them think.

The Agency for Instructional Technology offers a powerful combination of history and vision. At its core, AIT continues to fulfill its original potential as a leading developer and distributor of quality educational products. However, by incorporating the latest technologies and research, AIT constantly updates its approach—it always pushes forward, leading others on the expanding frontier of educational technology.

AIT’s unrivaled market penetration, technical and educational expertise, and fundraising connections make us a valuable partner. Public and private organizations have collaborated with us to:
develop videos, interactive products, and print and online materials
make existing products more useful and appealing to the educational market
win funding for new initiatives
encourage the thoughtful application of technology in education
create strategic market alliances
provide professional development
AIT understands the power of partnership. Early on, we created a consortium approach that helps fund large, innovative products. Since then AIT has developed more than 35 major educational projects by engaging experts from all the states and Canadian provinces and territories. When a project is completed, consortium members retain rights to use the materials and to buy components at reduced prices.
AIT has also worked with public television stations, private companies, universities, school districts, and other organizations, and has won funding from sources such as the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the U.S. Department of Education, and the National Science Foundation.
